Frans & Heather, Owners

Frans, Heather and their son Maliq have been living in Kenya since 2008. They have worked as humanitarian workers with International Non-Governmental Organisations throughout Africa and before that in Chechnya and Indonesia. While Frans was born in Zimbabwe, Heather was born in Canada which led to the recent move to the Canadian sub-arctic town of Yellowknife so that Maliq could get a sense of snow!

Ivy, 

Ivy has been part of our family since 2008. Starting as Maliq’s nanny and then going through demanding training to become one of Kenya’s very first Emergency Medical Technicians and soon to complete a degree in special needs education. Ivy lives on the compound in the guest cottage and manages Lalapanzi when we are away.

Benjamin,

Benjamin our night watchman or Askari, keeping a watchful eye as you sleep peacefully.

Bakari the man who makes the magic in our garden paradise happen!
